A bit about Bella Coola: Bella Coola (often refers to the entire Bella Coola Valley) is a small community nestled deep in the mountains of Central Coast British Columbia. It is home to approximately 2000 people including the Nuxalk people who have been in Bella Coola since before any formal local written history. Part of the Great Bear Rainforest, Bella Coola is home to a variety of different species of wildlife including Grizzly Bears, Black Bears, Eagles, Salmon, Cougars, Seals, and many more. There are many fun and exciting things to do in Bella Coola, such as Bear and Wildlife Viewing, Helli-Skiing, Fishing, Hiking, Rodeo, and a Music Festival. Hello! My name is Scott Carrier. I created Infinite Inspiration as a place to collect my photographs and videos. I am a self taught photographer in my spare time and wanted to be able to find a way to push myself to learn more and get better at this craft.

In 2012 my wife and I moved from Ontario to Bella Coola, British Columbia. I had always been interested in photography but had never gotten around to learning enough about it. The moment we arrived here, I knew I would need to start making time.

I got my first DSLR and began shooting. Over the course of the first year my photos were not very good. The focus was usually off and the exposure was almost never correct. I got lucky with the occasional gem but for the most part they were pretty bad. I knew what I wanted the images to look like, but I didn't have the understanding of how to achieve them. So I started reading and watching tutorials and put those lessons into practice, and eventually I started to see some results. Some of the photos I took were actually turning out the way I intended!

I collect my better photos here to remind me that I am capable of creating the images I want and that even when I get what I consider to be a good photo that I can always improve. In this way I have a source of inspiration from my successes and a constant drive to do better from my failures.

If I happen to inspire anyone else with my photography then that is a bonus!
